The Lazy Brain

Meet Emmeline, an eight-year-old Chinese girl with a big imagination — and a funny pink brain who would much rather lounge on a tiny sofa in fluffy slippers.

The series

Everybody has a brain. Emmeline’s has opinions.

These playful read-alouds turn everyday impulses into a character children can laugh with and talk about. Emmeline’s petite Chinese mum brings warmth, patience and the occasional very high shelf; Emmeline brings questions, cardboard and her own bright ideas.

“Stay here. It’s cosy,” said the Lazy Brain, settling deeper into its slippers.
